CMS integration with DIB

A CMS system plays an important role in the DIB environment, because they provide all the procedural and conceptual information, which often has an important position in mobile applications.

In case the CMS is used as a part of a DIB InAPP designed in the DIB-Architect DIB will share a common data area with the DIB-Architect. This is what is shown in the left part of the below illustration. Please be aware that DIB-Architect will take advantage of the data if it comes as DITA-XML. In this way it is possible to see the information fully integrated into the final InAPP result going out to the end user.

The other case is that the CMS needs a distribution channel which DIB also provides through DIB-Distributor. It this case the data is considered as publied and just need to go into the distribution channel. This is shown as the right side going out of the CMS.
